Reliance Industries

According to media reports, Reliance Consumer Products, a wholly owned subsidiary of FMCG arm and Reliance Retail Ventures (a subsidiary of Reliance Industries), has completed the acquisition of 51 per cent controlling stake in LOTUS for Rs 74 crore. At the same time, non-cumulative redeemable preference shares have been subscribed for Rs 25 crore. Reliance Consumer Products has also completed the acquisition of equity shares through an open offer.

Vodafone Idea

Debt-ridden telecom company Vodafone Idea Limited (VIL) narrowed its losses to Rs 6,418.9 crore in the January-March quarter. It had a loss of Rs 6,563.1 crore in the same period a year ago. The company’s income from services increased by about 3 per cent to Rs 10,506.5 crore, compared to Rs 10,228.9 crore in January-March 2022. Vodafone Idea’s loss increased to Rs 29,297.6 crore in FY 2022-23, while its loss in FY 2021-22 was Rs 28,234.1 crore.

Emmy

The profit of Emami Limited, a leading company making household items of daily use, decreased by 60 percent to 142 crores in the March quarter. In the fourth quarter of the previous financial year, the company’s profit was Rs 354 crore. Emami India’s operating income grew by 9 per cent to Rs 836 crore in the quarter ended March 2023 from Rs 768 crore in the fourth quarter of FY 2021-22.

SAIL

The leading steelmaker’s consolidated net profit fell 53.2 per cent to Rs 1,159.21 crore in the quarter ended March 2023, as against Rs 2,478.82 crore in the year-ago quarter. Total income also declined by 5.6 per cent to Rs 29,416.39 crore.

Oil India

The public sector oil marketing company is in talks with other stakeholders on a possible acquisition of 50 per cent stake in Tullow Oil’s $3.4 billion oilfield project in Kenya, company Chairman and Managing Director Ranjit Rath said on Thursday.
