New Delhi, 14 February (HS). Indian kickboxer Sudhir Saxena won a silver medal in the +94 kg weight category at the 3rd International Open Kickboxing Championship to be held from February 7 to February 11, 2024, at the prestigious Indira Gandhi Stadium in New Delhi. In the final, Sudhir had to face defeat against compatriot Manav Pachariya.

Having represented India in the World Championships held in Portugal in November 2023, with this medal, Sudhir has also got the opportunity to represent India in the upcoming Asian Kickboxing Championships to be held in Vietnam.

President of the Indian Kickboxing Association said, “Sudhir’s dedication and passion for the sport has brought great honor to our country, and we are thrilled to see him excel on the global stage. His success serves as an inspiration to aspiring athletes across the country, and we are confident that he will continue to make India proud by competing in the Asian Kickboxing Championships.”
