Tata Motors sales increased so much, commercial vehicle sales decreased


Tata Motors Sales in March 2023 : Domestic vehicle manufacturer Tata Motors’ wholesale sales in the domestic market increased by three percent to 89,351 units in March. Releasing the sales figures, the company said that in March 2022, it had sold 86,718 units. According to Tata Motors, last month it sold 44,044 passenger vehicles in the domestic market, as against 42,293 units a year ago.

Its commercial vehicle sales fell marginally to 46,823 vehicles in March from 47,050 vehicles a year ago. The company’s total domestic sales during FY 2022-23 stood at 9,31,957 units, which is 35 percent higher as compared to 6,92,554 units in FY 2021-22. Tata Motors passenger vehicle sales grew by 45 per cent to 5,38,640 units from 3,70,372 units in this financial year.

Shailesh Chandra, Managing Director of Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles, said that a new record has been set for the sale of passenger vehicles in India during the financial year 2022-23. He said that the arrival of pending demands due to the epidemic, introduction of new models and improvement in the condition of semiconductors gave a boost to this boom. (with language input)
