Toyota showcases iconic special-purpose HiLux at North Tech Symposium – Dainik Savera Times

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) today showcased two iconic special-purpose HiLux at the North Tech Symposium 2023 (NTS). These have been modified in collaboration with an authorized external vendor. This is an annual event to showcase technology. It was organized by the Northern Command of the Indian Army. In this he got the support of Society of Indian Defense Manufacturers (SIDM) and IIT Jammu. The objective of the event is to promote state-of-the-art indigenous development and production of defense technological capabilities and achieve “Atmanirbharta” (self-reliance in the defense sector). Furthermore, this year marks a major leap forward in strengthening the Indian Army’s efforts in the areas of synergy and research, development and innovation for the modernization of the Indian Army.

After conducting extensive market surveys to understand the various mobility needs of specific consumers, TKM through its authorized external vendor has introduced certain modifications to the versatile HiLux (two units) that can cater to various requirements. The Indian Army was also included in the survey and the modifications made also cater to the needs of the Indian Army. The curated vehicles reflect TKM’s commitment to identifying unique solutions to meet specific customer requirements, including military use, and thus support the evolving mobility requirements across markets and verticals.
