Ukrainian officials gave this information. At least one explosion rocked a Russian town in the region overnight on Friday, hours after Ukraine shelled artillery in Russia’s southern Belgorod region bordering Ukraine.

Ukraine on Friday fired cannon shells at areas bordering Russia, while Moscow’s missile targeted a hospital in Dnipro in central Ukraine. A hospitalized patient was killed and 16 others were injured in the Russian attack, Ukrainian officials said. At least one explosion rocked a Russian town in the region overnight on Friday, hours after Ukraine shelled artillery in Russia’s southern Belgorod region bordering Ukraine.

Officials said Kremlin forces stormed a hospital in Dnipro in central Ukraine, killing one person and wounding 16 people, including two children. In addition, a Russian S-300 missile hit a dam in the Karlivka district of Ukraine’s eastern Donetsk province, threatening severe flooding in nearby settlements. Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said the Belgorod town of Gravoron, about seven kilometers from the border with Ukraine, was shelled for several hours, damaging four houses, a warehouse, a car, a gas pipeline and a power line.

The details of the attack are unclear. Unconfirmed reports said Friday’s explosion in the southern Russian city of Krasnodar was carried out by a drone. Eyewitnesses told local media that they heard two explosions. Earlier this month, an oil refinery in Krasnodar was targeted by drones two days in a row. Ukraine’s defense minister shared a video on Thursday that appeared to show an unmanned boat attacking the Russian vessel Ivan Khurs in the Black Sea. But the video does not show that the vessel was attacked by a drone. Earlier on Wednesday, Russia claimed that Ukraine’s unmanned boats attacked its vessel Ivan Khurs. The Ukrainian president’s office said on Friday that at least two civilians were killed and three others were injured in Russian airstrikes over the past 24 hours.
