Under 17 Women’s Asian Cup: India’s women’s football team reaches Thailand for qualifiers – Dainik Savera Times

Buriram: After topping their first round group, India U17 women’s football team arrived in Thailand on Sunday with high expectations for the AFC U17 Women’s Asian Cup Qualification Round 2. The players are absolutely excited to step into Thailand And the battle for qualification is waiting to start again, the obstacle which they passed with distinction in the previous round.
In April, the Indian women’s U17 team topped their Round 1 group and advanced to Round 2 of the AFC U17 Women’s Asian Cup Qualifiers for the first time. In the three-team group played in Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic, Team India won both its matches against hosts Kyrgyz Republic and Myanmar and secured six points.
India have been placed in Group A along with Korea Republic, Iran and hosts Thailand. The top two teams will book their places in the final tournament to be held in Indonesia in April 2024. India head coach Priya PV, who was recently named the AIFF Women’s Coach of the Year, is also proud of the tremendous work going on within her team. Aware of the excitement and took it as a positive sign.
