BSNL 4G 5G Upgrade: After Airtel and Jio, now the government telecom company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is preparing to launch its 5G service. Telecom Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has said that the public sector telecom company BSNL will start offering 4G services at 200 locations in the next two weeks.

Vaishnav said that indigenously made 4G telecom equipment has been installed by BSNL at 200 places between Chandigarh and Dehradun. He said, maximum in the next two weeks, BSNL’s 4G service will start. Along with this, he said that by November-December this year, BSNL’s 4G network will be upgraded and converted into 5G.

BSNL has placed advance orders worth over Rs 19,000 crore to TCS and ITI for setting up 4G network. These devices will be installed at more than 1.23 lakh places across the country. Vaishnav said, you will be surprised to see the speed with which BSNL will set up the network.

After running the trial for three months, we will start setting up network at 200 places in a day. Initially this network will work as 4G and by November-December it will be converted into 5G with a few software updates. (with language input)
