World inclination towards talent and script instead of stars and big names: Kriti Sanon

New Delhi. Kriti Sanon, who recently won the National Award for Best Actress, tells Vogue India how an engineering graduate with no background in the industry ended up where she hopes to see herself five years from now.

On how the Bollywood industry can become more accessible to outsiders, Sanon said, “The industry can become more accessible to outsiders if we start creating a level playing field.

If you are launching someone from the industry then make sure you are also giving space to someone who is not related to it. But, he is more talented. Gradually the world is leaning towards talent and scripts instead of stars and big names.

On what’s next for her, Sanon says, “I’ve watched a lot of videos on vision boards and manifesting that say if you believe something can happen, it will happen.

But, with me I realized that if I eagerly chase a particular milestone, it doesn’t happen. Maybe five years from now I’ll buy a house for my parents, because my mother’s wish is to have tea in the garden every day.”

On what she looks for in a partner and finding someone who pays attention to the little things, she says, “I have a real instinct for taking care of the people I love.

Something as small as carrying a jacket when you go to the movies when you’re cold or ordering a thoughtful meal when you get home after working late can make a relationship so meaningful.”
