WTC Final partner ‘or’ senior player made his playing XI

Pudhari Online Desk : After IPL 2023, the final match of the World Test Championship will be played between India and Australia from 7th June. The match will be held at the Oval ground in England. The first contingent of Indian players left for Australia for the match, including Virat Kohli, Mohammad Siraj and Ravichandran Ashwin. (WTC Final)

Former India coach Ravi Shastri has picked India’s probable 11 players against Australia. Shastri, who will be India’s head coach till the final round of the World Test Championship in 2021, has named Ajinkya Rahane, who has been impressive for the Chennai Super Kings in 2023, in his probable 11. (WTC Final)

Looking at his form in IPL 2023 and domestic cricket, the selectors have given him a chance. Shreyas Iyerla was injured and replaced by Rahanela. Also, the absence of India’s fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah will definitely affect the Indian team, as expressed by Shastri.

Shastri said that Rahane is unique in the way he is timing the ball. So looking at T20 cricket from a different perspective. His goal is not to attack more, but to spend maximum time on the field. Rahane strikes at an excellent strike rate. This thing is beneficial for the Indian Union.

He further said, Rahane has said that when you do well in domestic cricket, then you can return to the Indian Union. They have booked their places in the final round of the World Test Championship. India did well in England on the way because you would have had fast bowlers like (India) Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, Shardul Thakur and Mohammed Siraj. The Indian team will do well in the final match against Australia. This is the hope of Shastri.

Ravi Shastri’s playing XI for WTC final: Rohit Sharma (c), Shubman Gill, Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane, Ravindra Jadeja, KS Bharat (wk), Shardul Thakur, Ravichandran Ashwin, Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj
