Attempt to take out a procession through the disputed route in Mahudi village of Hazaribagh, clash with administration, four vehicles damaged.

Barkagaon (Hazaribagh): On Tuesday, an attempt was made to take out the Ashtami procession of Ram Navami through the disputed route in Mahudi village of Barkagaon block of Hazaribagh district of Jharkhand. The police stopped the procession from moving through the route by putting up barricades. On this, the people involved in the procession became furious and started pelting stones. Four vehicles including SDPO, BDO and CO were damaged due to stone pelting. CO Baleshwar Ram’s driver Vijay Kumar has been injured. The angry people set fire to the straw kept there. The fire fighting vehicle brought the fire under control. The police had to use mild force to control the situation. DC Nancy Sahay, SP Arvind Kumar Singh also reached the incident site. The situation is under control.

Controversy increased due to viral video
SDPO Kuldeep Kumar has not confirmed that the procession will be taken out. However, a video of people carrying flags and coming back from the disputed procession route passing through Mahudi Marg went viral on social media. After the video went viral, the Barkagaon administration swung into action. Mahudi village was converted into a police cantonment. Hazaribagh SDO Shailesh Kumar, Barkagaon SDPO Kuldeep Kumar, Circle Officer Baleshwar Ram, Block Development Officer Jitendra Kumar Mandal, Inspector Anil Kumar Singh, Police Station Incharge Mukesh Kumar Singh and many DSP rank police officers, all the top officers of the block, concerned employees and a large number. Police force has been deployed.

What is SDPO called?
SDPO Kuldeepak Kumar told on telephone that the procession has not taken place. In fact, some people tried to pass through the disputed route on the pretext of worshiping. The police had to use mild force to control the situation. Stone pelting took place. At present the situation is under control. Police are deployed everywhere from security point of view. Barricading was done from both sides.

what is the matter
Since 1985, the Barkagaon Mahudi procession route has been closed following the orders of the district administration. A fair is held in Sonpura village. Barricading is done by the administration on the disputed Mahudi road.
