Pusa: A three-day training program for farmers based on organic fertilizer production technology started on Tuesday in the Panchatantra Auditorium of Dr. Rajendra Prasad Central Agricultural University. The inauguration was done by lighting the lamp by Dr. Devendra Singh, Head of the Department of Agronomy of the University and other guests. Dr. Singh present on this occasion said that the cycle of time is changing. During the Green Revolution, the utility of chemical fertilizers had increased a lot. Which needs to be controlled. He said that by adding nitrogen to the crops, the crops become completely green in just three days. Organisms are found in abundance in the land of Bihar. He said that a huge revolution has taken place in the field of paddy production. He said that there is a need to conserve and protect the land for future generations by conserving soil organic matter. He said that people’s health is mostly deteriorating due to the composite reaction. In the era of climate change, farmers need to change their thinking. By adopting scientific techniques, more and more farmers can achieve better crop production and make themselves successful in farming. He said that in the era of organic fertilizers, farmers can increase the fertility of the soil by turning the green manure into the soil. By cutting and adding green vegetation to the soil year after year, all the nutrients get accumulated in the soil. He said that with the use of organic fertilizers, the beneficial insects of the soil called friendly insects increase. Better benefits can be obtained by preparing vermi compost in different ways from organic fertilizers. He said that there is a need to keep organic farming alive. He said but asked the teachers to bring the knowledge acquired during the training to the ground level and share it with the people. Present Director Extension Education Dr. MS Kundu said that if there are no animals on earth, farming will become impossible. Animals have an important contribution in making the society pollution free. While conducting the stage and giving vote of thanks, Dr. Anupama Kumari said that organic manure works like a sponge to absorb water. Organic fertilizer produces more carbon in the soil.
