Barhat (Sahibganj), Nagraj Saha : About 30 thousand devotees offered prayers on Mahashivratri at Gajeshwar Nath Dham located in Shivgadhi of Barhet block area of Sahibganj district. In this temple famous as Mini Babadham, people offered water to Shivling. On the occasion of Mahashivratri, devotees started arriving from early morning to offer prayers.
Tribal people also worshiped during the cleanliness drive
Devotees duly worshiped Baba Bholenath by applying Bilba leaves, flowers, milk, curd, sandalwood etc. at Gajeshwar Nath Dham located in Shivgadhi. People of Safa Hod tribal community from Jharkhand as well as West Bengal started coming here since morning to worship. He offered water to Lord Shiva as per tribal tradition. The tribals remained immersed in the faith.
Strong security arrangements were made on Mahashivratri
The members of Shiv Gandhi Management Committee took full precautions. Arrangements were made so that people could queue up and worship comfortably. Within no time a crowd of devotees gathered in the temple. Tight security arrangements were made. Police force was deployed at various places.

30 thousand devotees worshiped
Special care was taken to ensure that people do not face any problem in commuting on the Barhet-Shivgadhi main road. In this regard, Shivgadhi Management Committee Secretary Utpal Dutta said that on the occasion of Mahashivratri, about 30 thousand devotees have offered prayers.
Accommodation arrangements for people coming from neighboring states
It was told by the Temple Management Committee that arrangements have been made to stay in Dharamshala for the devotees coming from Jharkhand’s neighboring states Bihar and West Bengal. The entire campus area is under CCTV camera surveillance.
