4 children died in fire caused by spark of mobile charger in UP, 6 tips to avoid such tragedies at home

Last week, four children suffered severe burn injuries and later died when their bed in their room caught fire due to a short-circuit caused by a mobile charger in Meerut. Their parents, Babita and Johnny, rushed to the room to save their children, who were sleeping, during which they also sustained burn injuries. Police said Babita is battling for her life at Delhi’s Safdarjung Hospital, while Johnny is at a medical facility in Meerut.

Extreme temperatures are bad news for electronics. Avoid charging your phone in direct sunlight or in a hot car.

Check your charger regularly

Regularly inspect your charger for any damage. Pay attention to any signs that the charger is damaged, such as frayed wires, broken plugs, or loose connections. If you notice any damage, throw away the charger and get a new one. There is a risk of fire from a damaged charger.
