47 percent candidates absent in Jamshedpur, long traffic jam after exam, ambulance and police vehicle stuck

Jamshedpur: The 11th Jharkhand Joint Civil Services Preliminary Competition (JPSC) examination was held on Sunday at 72 examination centers in East Singhbhum district. The examination was completed peacefully. No irregularities were reported from anywhere. However, at some centres, including Dayanand Public School, candidates said that in the first shift, candidates were allowed to enter the examination hall without any checking. The exam was also done. However, the mistake was rectified in the second shift. In the second shift, everyone’s admit card and other items were checked before entering the examination hall.
Absence of candidates became a topic of discussion
Here, relatively fewer candidates took part in the JPSC examination held on Sunday. According to the information received from the district administration, a total of 32,628 candidates were to appear in this examination. Whereas only 17,300 candidates took part in this examination. About 47 percent of the candidates remained absent. Absence of students is continuously becoming a big challenge. Recently, about 73 percent of the candidates were absent in the JSSC examination. However later this examination was cancelled.
Entry started an hour ago
The examination was conducted in two shifts. The first shift was from 10 am to 12 noon while the second shift was from 2 pm to 4 pm. The candidates appearing in the first shift started entering the examination center from 9 am. In the second shift, candidates got admission from 1 pm onwards.
Questions were asked regarding CNT Act, Rehabilitation Policy and rights of tribals.
In the JPSC exam, questions related to the country and the world were asked in General Studies Paper 1. Whereas in Paper 2, questions mainly related to Jharkhand were asked. Both the papers had objective type questions. There was no negative marking. In the second paper, questions based on various schemes of Jharkhand were asked. In which CNT Act, Rehabilitation Policy, rights of tribals as well as the amount spent in various schemes.
Ambulance and police car stuck in jam
After the completion of the JPSC examination, as soon as we left the examination centre, there was a traffic jam at every intersection of the city. Due to the sudden arrival of thousands of vehicles on the road and the rush to leave quickly, people had to remain stuck in the traffic jam for about three hours. Most of the trouble was faced by the people traveling from Mango side. At the same time, drivers had to remain stuck in the traffic jam for hours at Sakchi roundabout and MGM Hospital Road. During this time, ambulances and police vehicles also remained stuck in the jam. This scene was seen at many squares and intersections of the city on Sunday evening. Not a single policeman was seen during the jam in Mango area. Near Bhuiyandih bus stand, drivers were seen crossing their vehicles as per their wish.
There is jam every day on Mango-Dimna road and bridge.
It is said that traffic jams usually occur every day in the evening in the city. There is jam every day on Mango-Dimna Road and Bridge due to workers leaving the company in the evening. There is a problem of traffic jam even during no entry period. Here on Sunday, thousands of candidates came together on the streets after completing the exams. In such a situation, due to increase in the load of vehicles on the road, a jam situation was created.
Mango-Dimna Road
Mango Dimna Road remained blocked for more than two hours. The road from Mango towards Sakchi was completely blocked. Drivers crawled through the traffic jam for about two to three hours. There was almost no traffic jam on the road leading from Sakchi to Mango. Due to jam on Mango Bridge, MGM Hospital Road and Shitala Mandir Road also remained jammed. There was a jam on Mango Purana Bridge due to the mistake of the driver. Drivers entered the bridge from both sides with big and small vehicles. There were no policemen present to stop them. Ambulance and police van also remained stuck in the jam for a long time. The ambulance driver was blowing the siren even though there was no patient. Some passers-by also protested against this.
Sakchi Roundabout
There was traffic jam till Sakchi roundabout on Sunday evening. Traffic jam was also seen on Shitala Mandir Road, Hathighoda Temple and Old Court Road from Sakchi Roundabout. The drivers going towards Ranchi were leaving for Ranchi from Doba. Due to this, there was a jam situation near Marine Drive roundabout also. During this time, police forces were seen busy in removing the drivers and clearing the jam. Heavy load of vehicles was also seen on Sakchi roundabout to Kalimati road.
Bistupur to Jusco Golchakr
There was a jam of vehicles on the road from Bistupur to Jusco roundabout. There was a jam of vehicles for about two and a half to three hours. During this time, Bistupur traffic police were seen working to clear the jam and allow vehicles to cross. Many women and children were also trapped in the jam.
