Indore: The fourth match of the Border-Gavaskar Test series will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The third Test was played in Indore where Team India got a crushing defeat against Australia by 9 wickets. The Indore Test match also ended within three days. In such a situation, now the last chance is left in Ahmedabad for the Indian team to make its place in the final of the World Test Championship. For this reason, Team India started preparations for the last Test match from now itself.
A day after Australia suffered a crushing defeat in the third Test cricket match, some players of the Indian team practiced hard for about 90 minutes at the Holkar Stadium in Indore. Opener Shubman Gill, middle-order batsman Shreyas Iyer, all-rounders Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja and left-arm wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav took part in the nets in the presence of head coach Rahul Dravid and batting coach Vikram Rathour. The third Test match between India and Australia was played on a very turning wicket. Australia won this match in the first session itself on the third day. India is currently leading 2-1 in the four-match Border Gavaskar Trophy. While Kuldeep Yadav bowled for long periods in the nets, the other four players took batting practice against local bowlers and throw-downs.
The batsmen did not experiment by playing any kind of new shot but batted normally. The players would be looking to find their rhythm ahead of the fourth and final Test match starting on March 9 in Ahmedabad.
Australia reached the final of WTC
With the victory in the third Test match against India, Australia’s team has reached the final of the World Test Championship. At the same time, the challenge for the team is that now in the four-match series, they will have to win the last match at any cost. If the Test match also ends in a draw, then the equation for the Indian team can get worse.
