Bihar News: A 15-year-old teenager died due to drowning during the flood on Ram Navami festival in Son river located at Keshav Ghat in Barun police station area of ​​Aurangabad. The deceased has been identified as Aman Kumar, son of Saroj Vishwakarma, resident of Narari Khurd village of Narari Kala Khurd police station area. The incident is being reported on Tuesday morning. In this accident the only lamp in the house got extinguished.

Bathing in the river during flood was costly

During the post-mortem at Sadar Hospital, family members told that Saroj’s entire family lives in a room on rent near the block located at Barun block headquarters. Aman was a student of ninth class. On the occasion of Ramnavami festival, water was to be filled from the Devi temple located in Barun Bazaar. Aman along with some of his friends went to Jalbhari without informing his family. Jalbhari work was being done by the committee of Devi Temple at Keshav Ghat of Son River. Meanwhile, about 10 children started bathing in the deep water of the river, about 100 meters away from the river bank. While taking bath, three-four children started drowning in the deep water of the river. Some children were taken out by other members of the committee. Meanwhile, Aman went towards deep water, where he died due to drowning.

The doctor declared him dead in the hospital..

After the accident, Aman was admitted to the Community Health Center Barun by the committee members. It was learned that Aman’s friends informed their coaching teacher about the incident. The family members were informed about the incident by the teacher. On receiving the information, the angry family members reached Barun and considering Aman to be alive, asked the doctor to treat him. However, the doctors declared Aman dead as soon as they felt his pulse. It was learned that when the family was not satisfied with the treatment given by the local doctor, the family took him to Dehri, where the doctors declared him dead. After this, the family members again reached Barun CHC and started screaming while clinging to the dead body.

The only lamp in the house went out

After the incident, the police of Barun police station got a statement from the family members and conducted post-mortem in Sadar Hospital and handed over the body to the family members. The family members say that the temple committee and the local police station are not providing satisfactory information about the incident. Aman’s father Saroj Vishwakarma told that he runs a bicycle servicing shop in Barun itself. Had gone to the shop after having dinner a little while ago. Shortly after this a sudden incident was reported. Said that the entire family lived in Barun for about three years. Aman was the only lamp in the house. He had two sisters. Mother Sandhya Devi and other family members were in bad condition due to crying.

The family members have demanded compensation from the district administration under disaster relief. Barun police station incharge Kumar Saurabh said that a teenager died due to drowning in Son river during flood. However, what is the reason behind the incident? At present it is not clear. The body has been handed over to the family for cremation after post-mortem. The matter will be known only after the post mortem report comes. At present the police is investigating the matter.
