After Brazil, Honda’s first flex fuel bike comes to make a splash in India, know what is its feature

Honda CB300F Flex-Fuel Bike: Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024 is going on at Pragati Maidan, Delhi. It has been started on 1 February 2024. More than 800 companies are showcasing their products in this Auto Expo. These include more than 50 foreign companies. Two-wheeler manufacturer Japanese company Honda is also included in these companies.
The special thing about this year’s Auto Expo show is that along with presenting conventional vehicles, domestic and foreign automobile companies are also presenting flex fuel vehicles to reduce environmental pollution. Meanwhile, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has introduced its first CB300F Flex Fuel.
No cosmetic changes in the bike
According to media reports, Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer Honda has modified the CB300F to make it flex-fuel. The company has not made any cosmetic changes in this motorcycle except the engine. Although, the company has showcased it in the Auto Expo, but has not disclosed about its launching date. This is its current prototype model. After launching, its production model will be available for sale.
Honda CB300F Flex Fuel Engine
The flex-fuel edition of CB300F has the same 293.52 cc single-cylinder engine as its regular model, but now it will run on ethanol mixed fuel. Honda CB300F petrol-powered bike has an IC engine, which generates a maximum power of 24.13 bhp at 7,500 rpm and a peak torque output of 25.6 Nm at 5,500 rpm. However, power and torque figures may differ when running on flex-fuel. This bike will have the gearbox of the regular model, which will have a 6-speed unit with slip-and-assist clutch.
7 million flex-fuel motorcycles sold in Brazil
Ethanol blended fuel is called flex-fuel. When flex-fuel vehicles are referred to as E85 engines, it means that when a vehicle has an E85 engine, that engine can run on up to 85 percent ethanol and the remaining 15 percent on gasoline. The oil you fill in your car will be mixed with 80 percent ethanol and 15 percent petrol. At present, 20 percent ethanol mixed petrol is being given at petrol pumps in India. This is not the first time that Honda is making a flex-fuel motorcycle. This company has sold more than 7 million flex-fuel motorcycles in Brazil.
