After ‘Panchayat’, Durgesh of Darbhanga will now be seen in Aamir Khan’s film ‘Lapata Ladies’.

Muzaffarpur. Darbhanga’s Durgesh Kumar will be seen in a powerful role in Aamir Khan production’s film ‘Laapta Ladies’ to be released on March 1. Durgesh has played the role of Dubeyji Havildar in this film. Even before the release of the film, Durgesh is popular on social media. The film has been directed by Kiran Rao. Many theater artists from Bihar and Bhopal have also played good characters in this film. Durgesh, who became famous from Panchayat Season 2, became famous with the dialogue ‘Dekh rahe ho na Vinod’. Many memes were also made on this on social media. His character received a lot of praise.

Panchayat web series established

Durgesh has also got a big role in season three of the Panchayat web series. This web series is also going to be released in a month or two. The films Dedh Bigha Zameen, Akshat and Dutta starring him are also ready for release. Of these, two films are of Red Chilli and one of Hansal Mehta. Durgesh started working in films after passing out from SRC in 2006 and NCD in 2009. Did small roles in many big films, but Panchayat web series established him.

Removed from NSD repertory for doing films

Durgesh tells that he was working in the repertory of NSD. After working in a play in Delhi’s Bharat Rang Mahotsav, Highway’s casting directors Mukesh Chhabra and Imtiaz Ali took him for trial. He was selected in the film Highway by asking him to learn driving. When NSD Repertory came to know about this, he was expelled from the repertory group for doing the film. Regarding his early life, Durgesh told that his house is in Darbhanga and his father was a professor in CM Arts College there. His father wanted him to become an engineer, so in 2001 he came to his elder brother Shivshakti Chaudhary living in Delhi. Brother got him admitted in a theater group for personality development. It was from here that interest in acting arose. Graduated in Hindi Literature. During this period, many plays were also performed at Shri Ram Centre. Got admission in NSD in the second attempt.

Got offer for role of photographer in Panchayat

Durgesh told that he had received an offer for the role of photographer in season one of the Panchayat web series, but by the time he contacted, this role was given to someone else. Got a small role, the shooting of which was only for one day. He did that role. He did not get much recognition from it, but he got a good job in season two of the Panchayat web series. Due to this he became famous. The audience liked his dialogues very much. People used dialogues spoken in a sarcastic tone in every field. Durgesh says that after leaving NSD, he had to struggle for ten years. During this period, there was a lot of support from father and elder brother. He always kept encouraging. I got encouragement from the support of my family and today my acting is being discussed.
