Airtel vs Jio 5G Rollout: Telecom company Bharti Airtel is rapidly expanding its 5G network. In this series, the company has started its ultra-fast 5G service Airtel 5G Plus in 235 new cities of the country. Airtel has become the first telecom company to rollout 5G internet service in 500 cities in the country.

Telecom company Bharti Airtel has left behind Reliance Jio in this matter by expanding its 5G network to an additional 235 cities. Now 5G service is being offered by Bharti Airtel in a total of 500 cities. While Reliance Jio is providing this facility in 406 cities.

Bharti Airtel’s high-speed 5G service is available to customers in 500 cities across the country, the company said in a statement. Airtel has added 235 more cities to its network. It said that the company is connecting 30 to 40 cities on its 5G network every day.

Randeep Sekhon, Chief Technical Officer at Bharti Airtel said, Airtel was the first company to offer 5G services, the service was launched in October 2022. By September 2023, our 5G network will expand to entire urban India.

The government had set a target of providing 5G service to 200 cities by March 31, although this service has so far reached more than 900 cities in the country. Airtel is now offering its 5G services in every major city from the upper northern city of Jammu to the southern tip of Kanyakumari.

Apart from Airtel, Reliance Jio recently rolled out its high speed internet service Jio True 5G in 41 cities. With this, Jio’s 5G network has reached 406 cities in the country. Jio is also rapidly expanding its true 5G reach. (with language input)
