CERT-In has said that Android operating system and Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox web browser users are at risk of cyber attack. According to the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team, such technical flaws have been found in Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox web browsers along with Android operating system, taking advantage of which cyber thugs can steal confidential data of users. These flaws in the Android operating system are present in Android versions 12, 12L, 13, 14.

According to the report of CERT-In, users using Google Chrome version earlier than 123.0.6312.105.106.107 on Mac and Windows and version earlier than 123.0.6312.105 on Linux are at risk of cyber attack. Along with this, there is a risk of data theft from Firefox version earlier than 124.0.1 and Firefox ESR version earlier than 115.9.1. It has been said in the report that by taking advantage of the vulnerabilities of the browser, hackers can gain access to personal and private information like passwords, photos and financial data present in the device.
