Appointed 13 distributors in Africa
He said that Ashok Leyland has appointed 13 distributors in the African markets in the last 16 months, some of whom have their own assembly plants. On the services provided by the company, Ashok Leyland’s Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Shenu Aggarwal said that the country’s first hydrogen fuel bus developed by the company will be on the roads by December.

Regarding developing hydrogen fuel bus for public sector NTPC, he said that this will be the first hydrogen fuel bus in the country. This will be for the Leh-Ladakh region. Due to the high altitude, some testing will be done on it and perhaps by the beginning of December we can supply a hydrogen fueled bus to NTPC.
Ashok Leyland will launch alternative fuel models in the next three-five years
