Ather 450 Apex: The wait for people who want to buy electric scooters is now over. Ather Energy, which has the largest share in the two-wheeler electric vehicle market after Ola Electric, has launched its new powerful electric scooter Ather 450 Apex in the market. The biggest thing is that this new electric scooter of Ather Energy is equipped with Magic Twist feature and the company will sell only its limited edition in India.
Ather 450 Apex Design
Ather Energy’s new electric scooter 450 Apex is built on the same platform as the company’s existing model 450X. This is why there is no difference in its seat height, wheelbase, tire size and ground clearance. Apex introduced the new attached belt drive system, which will soon be seen in all Ather models. However, it cannot be added separately to the existing models. In terms of design, it looks completely similar to the 450X. Ather 450 Apex has been given a special indium blue color for its body panels. It has transparent panels at the back, which comes with a shiny orange chassis.

Not only this, Ather Energy’s new electric scooter 450 Apex uses a 3.7 kWh battery pack like the 450X. It is being claimed that due to the new regenerative braking system, its IDC range has increased to 157 km. The new system lets you twist the accelerator 15 degrees backwards to slow down the e-scooter without braking, this feature is named ‘Magic Twist’.
Ather 450 Apex Engine
The motor of the Ather 450 Apex Electric is rated for a maximum power of 7 kW and is the only model in the Ather line-up to come with Warp Plus mode. In Warp Plus, the company can achieve 0-40 kmph speed in just 2.9 seconds and faster 40-80 kmph speed in less time as compared to 450X. Additionally, the 450 Apex is the only electric vehicle from Ather Energy that can reach a speed of 100 kmph in the fastest mode.

After a long wait with several teasers, Ather has now launched the 450 Apex at a price of Rs 1.89 lakh, ex-showroom. 450 apex means how far the existing platform can be driven within safe thermodynamic limits.
Limited edition will be sold in India
However, Ather 450 Apex electric scooter is the most expensive product of the company. Company co-founder Tarun Mehta said that this is not a target for the commercial market, but it is a special passion project. Production of 450 Apex will be limited according to demand. Ather plans to build Apex only until October 2024. Its booking has started from 6 January 2024 and its delivery can start in March 2024.
