New Delhi : Three electric scooters of Ather Energy, a startup company making electric scooters in India, can be launched in the market on 11 August 2023. The electric two-wheeler manufacturer has released a teaser of this scooter on social media. The teaser released on social media shows that Ather Energy will launch three electric scooters on August 11. In this, it has been confirmed that Ather Energy’s 450S is about to launch, which will be the most affordable electric scooter in Ather’s lineup. Currently, the manufacturer is selling only the 450X in the Indian market. It has been introduced in two models. It is being sold with Pro Pack and without Pro Pack.
Updated version of Ather 450X will be introduced in the market
In such a situation, it can be expected that the remaining two scooters will be updated versions of the 450X electric scooter. There is a complaint, which has been told by many people. That is the charging time of the Ather 450X without the Pro Pack. Hence, there is a possibility that Ather may reduce the size of the battery to reduce the charging time. Apart from this, there is also a possibility that the Ather 450X electric scooter could also be updated. However, there is no confirmation from the company yet. The manufacturer has not introduced any new design language or platform yet. This was confirmed when Ather launched AtherStack 5.0.
Ather 450X Design
Coming to the new scooter, the Ather 450S will look more or less similar to the 450X. However, it will come with a new LCD display in color combination. Hence, it is expected that the 450S will miss out on Google Maps and connected technology. Ather is claiming a range of 115 km on a single charge and a top speed of 90 kmph. It is also expected that the 450S will use the same electric motor as the 450X. Considering that the top speed of both the electric scooters is the same.
Ather 450X Range
The certified range of the Ather 450X scooter is 146 km, but in reality one can expect a range of 105 km. However, to get this range, smart eco mode has to be used. Other riding modes on offer are Eco, Normal, Sport and Warp.
Ather 450X speed
Depending on the weight of the riders, the Ather 450X can clock a top speed of around 90 kmph. It can accelerate from 0-40 kmph in just 3.3 seconds. The warp mode on the scooter is quite attractive as it provides all the power in an instant.
Boot Space of Ather 450X
Only Ather’s own helmet can be kept in the boot space. If the rider doesn’t have a charger, it still has enough room to carry a few accessories. It has a nice focused LED light strip, which comes in handy at night.
Ather 450X Tyres
Ather Energy has paid special attention to the details while making the scooter. The sticker on the alloy shows the air pressure for the tyres. The turn indicators are neatly integrated into the tail lamps and the front LED daytime running lamps. The color of the monoshock depends on the color of the scooter. There is Ather badging on the grips as well as on the headlamp.
Ather 450X Price
Ather Energy has already revealed the price details of the upcoming 450S electric scooter. It will be available at an initial price of Rs 1,29,999 (ex-showroom). Ather has not disclosed to what extent the introductory pricing will be available to customers.
