Australia, under its New Car Assessment Program, gives a zero crash test rating to cars that do not use ADAS technology. It has nothing to do with the strength of the cars and other factors. If the car is not equipped with ADAS technology, the safety rating becomes 0-star.
What does the ANCAP report say?
The Australian NCAP report states that during the crash test, protection for the driver’s chest and lower legs was found to be adequate. Protection for all other vital body parts of both the driver and front passenger is good. In the frontal test, the protection of the driver dummy was found to be weak for the chest, while it was fine for other parts. The vehicle scored 14.27 out of 16 in the child occupant protection test, while the rating in the side dynamic test is 8 out of 8.
