Which apps are included in this list?
Apps like Shaadi.com, Matrimony.com, Bharat Matrimony, Naukri.com, 99acres, Kuku FM, Stage, ALT Balaji’s and QuackQuack are included in the list of apps which Google has removed from the Play Store. At the same time, not a single name has been revealed in these apps.
Google said on this that more than two lakh Indian developers are using Google Play Store and their apps are published on Play Store. There is only one policy for all developers but some developers are not ready to accept it. Google has further said that the apps which have been removed from the Play Store are following the policies of other app stores but they have a lot of problems with Google’s policy.
Google gave 3 years time
According to Google, it had also given three years time to these apps. Actually, the fee dispute has been going on for a long time. An appeal was also made in the Supreme Court regarding this, but on 9 February 2024, the Supreme Court refused to hear the matter. Google said that in three years no court has raised questions about its fee policy but still some developers are not accepting the policy.
Google gave option
Google said that developers can take payment for their paid content from any app store other than Google Play Store or can take payment from their own site, if Google has an app on Play Store and is providing paid service. If yes then Google will also have to pay money.
