The Government of India has blocked all those posts about which a leader has given information in the Parliament. In fact, the government has blocked thousands of posts on social media, which include posts from different platforms. Most of the posts are available on social media platform

Actually, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has ordered the social media company to block 36,838 URLs. These posts were asked to be closed from 2018 to October 2023. IT Minister Rajiv Chandrashekhar shared this data in Parliament on Friday.

Let us tell you that this information was given in response to the question asked by Brittas, Rajya Sabha MP representing Kerala. Most of the posts and URLs were removed from the year 2020. At the time when the Covid pandemic was spreading. At that time the number of these posts was 9,849 posts.

Rajya Sabha MP representing Kerala Brittas had sought from the government the number and details of orders issued to digital media during the last five years under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made thereafter. In this, details of removing, modifying or blocking any content, information, data or link have been shared. This also includes Facebook and X.

Let us tell you that the Central Government has given instructions to block maximum posts to X from 2018 to October this year. This number is 13,660. After this comes Facebook. To which 10,197 reports have been given. YouTube is at number three. Another 4,199 and 3,023 posts have been blocked from Instagram.
