Big relief to press advisor of ADG Anurag Gupta and Raghuvar Das, case will no longer proceed in horse trading case.

Ranchi: Ajay Kumar, the then ADG Anurag Gupta and press advisor to former Chief Minister Raghuvar Das, accused in the case related to horse trading related to Rajya Sabha elections-2016, has got relief. The court of Additional Justice Prakash Jha heard the closure report filed in the case registered in Jagannathpur police station related to horse trading in Rajya Sabha elections-2016.
The complainant in the case, Additional Secretary, Home Department, Avinash Chandra Thakur presented his side. He said that the research done by Jharkhand Police in the case was correct. Mr. Thakur did not object to the closure report filed by Jagannathpur Police. After this, the court accepted the closure report submitted by the police in the case and ordered closure of the case.

Ranchi Police had already given clean chit to both of them. The investigating officer of the case had requested the court to close the case citing lack of evidence, on which the court had issued a notice to the complainant to know his side of the case.
