BJP announces candidates for 17 seats in Bihar

The Central Election Committee of BJP has announced the names of candidates for 17 seats of its quota in Bihar for the Lok Sabha elections 2024 late on Sunday evening. The party has again placed its bets on old faces on 13 out of 17 seats, while it has fielded new candidates on three seats. Rajya Sabha MP Vivek Thakur has been made the candidate from the new seat Nawada. Not a single woman candidate has been made a candidate in this list of BJP. Among the current MPs, the only woman MP is Rama Devi from Shivhar, but in NDA’s seat sharing, Rama Devi’s ticket has been cut due to Shivhar seat going to JDU.
BJP changed candidates on these seats
There are three seats on which BJP has changed its candidates. Among these, Mithilesh Tiwari has got the ticket in place of Ashwini Kumar Chaubey from Buxar, Rajbhushan Nishad in place of Ajay Nishad from Muzaffarpur and Shivesh Ram has got the ticket in place of Chhedi Paswan from Sasaram.

Along with this, BJP has fielded Sanjay Jaiswal from West Champaran, Radhamohan Singh from East Champaran, Ashok Kumar Yadav from Madhubani, Pradeep Kumar Singh from Araria, Gopal Ji Thakur from Darbhanga, Janardan Singh Sigriwal from Maharajganj, Rajiv Pratap Rudy from Saran, Nityanand from Ujiarpur. Rai, Giriraj Singh from Begusarai, Ravi Shankar Prasad from Patna Sahib, Ramkripal Yadav from Patliputra, RK Singh from Arrah and Sushil Kumar Singh from Aurangabad have been given tickets.
