BK Tiwari will be the director in-charge of Bokaro Steel Plant. Cabinet Appointment Committee, Government of India has issued its notification on Friday. Shri Tiwari is currently working on the post of Executive Director (Operations) of BSL. It is noteworthy that in February 2023, the officials of the Central Public Enterprises Board in Delhi had declared the name of BK Tiwari in the result after interviewing 12 officers. After that the recommendation of Shri Tiwari’s name was sent to the Central Government. The final approval was given by the Central Cabinet. 12 officers of SAIL, RINL and MECON had applied for the post of Director Incharge of Bokaro Steel Plant. BK Tiwari was selected after the interview. BK Tiwari started his career on 15th July 1989 as MTT in Coke Oven Department of BSL. While working in this department, he became the Chief General Manager in June 2017. ED Colliery was built on 29 May 2021 and ED Works of BSL was built on 15 June 2022. Since then he is posted in BSL only. Officers and employees hope that BSL will achieve all-round development: After becoming the Director in-charge of Bokaro Steel Plant, Shri Tiwari will lead the team BSL. BSL officers and employees are hopeful that BSL will make all-round development under the leadership of Mr. Tiwari. The city residents including officers and personnel will benefit from his long experience. It is noteworthy that the post of Director in-charge of BSL was vacant after the then DI Amarendu Prakash became SAIL Chairman on 31 May 2023. Rourkela DI Atanu Bhowmik was in additional charge here.
