New Delhi. Four recharge plans have been discontinued by BSNL. Earlier, the cheap recharge plan was discontinued by Airtel. BSNL has also followed Airtel’s path in discontinuing cheap recharge plans. Rs 71, Rs 104, Rs 135 and Rs 395 plans have been discontinued by BSNL. These are all STV recharge plans. However, the question arises as to why these plans have been discontinued by BSNL.

Airtel has come up with a formula to discontinue cheap recharge plans instead of increasing the price of recharge plans. On the same lines, BSNL and other companies are discontinuing cheap recharge plans for the customers.

What are STV plans
STV plans are offered by BSNL. These are special tariff vouchers. This is a special recharge, which is launched for a particular period. But due to the popularity of the plan, BSNL keeps increasing the validity of these plans.

BSNL Rs 71 plan
In this plan, users used to get talk-time of Rs 20 for 30 days. Data and calling facility was not available in this plan.

BSNL Rs 104 plan
In this plan, 18 days validity is offered to the users. In this plan, users get the facility of 300 minutes, 3 GB data and 30 SMS. Also a discount coupon was given.

BSNL Rs 135 plan
The validity of 24 days was available in this plan of BSNL. Also, 1440 voice minutes were offered for calling.

BSNL Rs 395 plan
71 days validity was offered in this plan. Also, with 3000 minutes of on-net calling, 1800 minutes of off-net calling was available. After the end of free calling, users are charged at 20 paise per minute. In this recharge plan, users get 2GB daily data.
