Government has announced to give BSNL tower on rent. About 10,000 towers will be given on lease by BSNL. It has been approved by the government. The BSNL tower will be given on lease for a long period. BSNL tower will be given on lease to third party vendor. This lease will be given under PPP model. The government estimates that by leasing BSNL towers in this way, a revenue of Rs 2000 to 2500 crores will be generated.
Government will get benefit without cost

These companies can bid
The government has appointed KPMG as a consultant to lease the BSNL tower. It is believed that companies like Data Infrastructure Trust, ATC, Indus can come forward to give BSNL tower on lease.
