The apps in which these spyware are present do not let the users know that they are affected by the virus. These two apps are File Recovery and Data Recovery and File Manager and together they have 1.5 million users.

A mobile cyber security company named Pradeo has made a disclosure that there are two such apps on the Google Play Store that show themselves as file management tools. But stealing sensitive data of users is sending it to China. There are lakhs of downloads of these apps and users are also using them.

According to Pradeo’s report, these apps steal users’ personal data like real time details, social networks, emails, contacts etc. These apps are sending this data to Chinese servers.
