What is the figure of deaths in road accidents?

According to the data of the Road Transport Ministry, the number of deaths due to two-wheelers in the year 2022 is 74,897. Whereas, according to the NCRB report, this figure is 77,876. According to the data of the Road Transport Ministry, the number of deaths of pedestrians due to collision with vehicles is 32,825. Whereas in NCRB data this number is 24,742. Apart from this, the number of deaths in accidents involving cars and light motor vehicles is 21,040 in the ministry’s data, while in the NCRB data the number is 24,086. If seen in this way, in the data of the Ministry of Road Transport, the number of people who died in road accidents in the year 2022 is 1,68,491, while in the data of NCRB this number is given as 1,71,100.
