San Francisco. Former US President Donald Trump is finally back on X (formerly Twitter) after more than two years. He was banned from various social media platforms in January 2021 following the US Capitol riots.
Trump posted his first tweet on X late Thursday with his mugshot saying, “Interfere in elections, never surrender.”
Musk also responded to Trump with a post saying, “Next level.”
Many followers welcomed the former US President on X, which is now owned by Elon Musk.
After facing a ban on Twitter, Facebook and other platforms, Trump started his own social media platform called Truth Social.
On November 18, 2022, Musk ran a poll asking Twitter users whether he should reinstate Trump.
Around 1.5 crore responses were received, of which 51.8 per cent said yes and 48.2 per cent said no.
Twitter permanently banned President Trump on January 8, 2021, after a pro-Trump mob attacked the US Capitol, killing five people.(IANS)
