According to Kumar, voters above 85 years of age will be given the facility to vote from home. The electoral process has become easier due to technological upgradation. Jammu-Kashmir Election: What will happen to the voters living in slums?
The Chief Election Commissioner has said that people living in slums in Jammu and Kashmir can register as voters. But first they will have to cancel their registration from the place where they are regular residents. Soldiers working in Central Armed Police Force or Army, who are living outside, can vote through postal ballot. CEC said that all District Magistrates and SPs have been instructed to conduct transparent elections in the area.
