Through this, the company aims to double the export of tractors. Under this plan, the company has launched a series of tractors in the market. Mahindra & Mahindra says that small tractors will benefit farmers with less land holdings. He said that in the coming three years, he has started trying to double the export of tractors. Mahindra & Mahindra, the world’s largest tractor manufacturer, exported around 18,000 tractors abroad in the last financial year.

Farmers of small holding will be benefited

The company said that it has invested around Rs 1,200 crore on the development of the OJA platform for tractors. Products with 20-70 HP capacity can be made on this platform. The company aims to cater to the needs of smallholder farmers in India, America and ASEAN region countries. That is why it has introduced a new range of tractors.

Will help in entering new markets

Hemant Sikka, President, Farm Equipment, Mahindra & Mahindra, said the OJA brand will help the company expand its market share and enter new markets. He said that we are trying to double our export figures in three years. OJA tractors will be instrumental in achieving this goal. Mahindra & Mahindra on Tuesday showcased three OJA platforms here along with the launch of seven products for the Indian market.

These countries of the world including India are on the target of Mahindra

Hemant Sikka said that the company is going to target three major geographies India, ASEAN and America with OJA product. It will also target the geographical areas of Europe and Africa with the new range. He said that we will be present in every corner of the world through this platform. With this, the doors of 12 new countries will also open for the company. With this, we will be in a position to target 25 per cent market share of the global light weight tractor industry.

Why Mahindra named OJA

Why Mahindra & Mahindra has named the small size tractor as OJA, its meaning is also very mysterious. According to the company’s official website, ‘Ojas’ is derived from a Sanskrit word, which means energy. Mahindra has designed its OJA i.e. ‘Oja’ compact series to promote viticulture, vegetable, interculture and technical cultivation of paddy. With its three cutting-edge technology packs ‘Proza’, ‘Myoza’ and ‘Roboza’, this tractor is all set to revolutionize the way farmers do farming.
