The incident happened with Dan Lanigan Ryan, who worked as a recruiting manager in Google’s HR department.

Website access closed, e-mail also blocked

Ryan told Business Insider that he was fired while he was interviewing on the call. Immediately his line was disconnected by the company at the time of the call. After that he tried to login to the internal company website, but he could not reach there. This did not happen only with them. The accounts of other team members were also logged out. The manager denied that there was a technical problem. Till that time the company had not informed about the layoffs. After this, not only did Ryan lose access to the website, but his e-mail was also blocked. He said, I was blocked from everything and then after about 15 to 20 minutes I saw in the news that Google is announcing 12,000 layoffs.

A big post written on LinkedIn

Dan Lanigan Ryan has written a big post on LinkedIn regarding this incident that happened to him. He has written that Google was his dream company. He was placed in Google only last year. But this happiness did not last long and within a year he was shown the way out. In the post, he wrote- Unfortunately, I was removed from Google last Friday along with many thousands of others. I didn’t expect it to come to such an abrupt end, the system shut down in the middle of a call. Ryan also called it a dream job with a dream company. He wrote, just a year ago I got a dream job with a dream company. I was walking the dog when my recruiter called to tell me I got the job.

Google brought many offers for fired employees

Google will pay salary to the fired employees for the notification period i.e. for at least 60 days. Google will also give a severance package to those employees, which will be equal to at least 16 weeks’ salary. An additional salary of two weeks will be given for every year spent by the employee in the company. Apart from this, the company will also provide salary to the employees for the year 2022 bonus and remaining holidays. Apart from this, six months healthcare service, placement services and immigration support have been offered.
