As per media reports, the Hyundai Xtor micro SUV is based on Tata’s Panch K-1 platform, which also underpins the Grand i10 Nios and Accent compact sedan. The Korean-spec Casper micro SUV has also been built on the same platform, measuring just 3.4 meters in length. However, the Exeter micro SUV looks much bigger in dimensions than its Korean sibling.

The new design language of the brand in the micro SUV is sensible sportiness, which is already seen in the latest Verna sedan. It gets the brand’s new signature grille, H-shaped LED DRLs on the sides of the bonnet, which are joined by a thin glossy black strip. The main headlamp unit is placed on the lower bumper, which appears as a part of the brand’s parametric jewel-type front grille. The headlamps are housed in glossy black housings with chrome surrounds.

The Hyundai logo is placed on the bonnet just above the glossy black stripe. The new SUV is likely to be powered by a 1.2L 4-cylinder NA petrol engine that produces 83bhp and 114Nm of peak torque. Transmission options will include 5-speed manual and AMT.

According to media reports, the price of Hyundai Xtor micro SUV can be between Rs 6 lakh to Rs 10 lakh. The new Hyundai Xtor will be pitted against the Tata Punche micro SUV. It can compete with Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger. There is a possibility that it can be made a global debut in May or June.
