Refund will not be given without e-verification
The government has started giving refund money to those filing income tax returns for the financial year 2022-23. The government has said this time that only those taxpayers who have got the verification done will get refund money. If you have not done ITR verification, then this time the government will not give you refund.
However, you have to get the e-verification done within 30 days of filing ITR. Earlier this period used to be 120 days, but the Income Tax Department has now reduced it to 30 days. This rule is applicable from 1 August 2022.
