WhatsApp, the popular instant messaging platform owned by Meta, is currently rolling out a feature widely. The specialty of this facility is that it will be available only to iOS users i.e. iPhone users. Through this feature, iPhone users will now be able to attach an email to their WhatsApp account.

According to a report by WABetaInfo the Meta-owned app is now rolling out an additional access method on its platform that enables iPhone users to log into their accounts in situations where they need to enter a 6-digit code via SMS. You may face temporary difficulties in achieving things. In the last few hours WhatsApp has released update 23.24.70 for iOS on the App Store.

The official changelog still mentions that a bug that was slowing down the app for some users was fixed, even though the nature of the bug is unknown at the moment. However, even though it is not mentioned in the official changelog on the App Store, it has been confirmed that WhatsApp is rolling out the ability to link your email address to your WhatsApp account.

To use this feature today, open WhatsApp Settings > Account. If users are temporarily unable to receive the 6-digit code via SMS, this is an alternative login method, but they will still need to use a phone number to create an account, and log in with the phone number. Doing so still remains an option.

If you don’t have this feature yet, it may be introduced to accounts in the next few weeks, even if it is not mentioned in the official changelog. To make sure you stay updated, regularly check for WhatsApp updates on the App Store or the TestFlight app. Additionally, some users may notice a redesigned interface with the new green color introduced with WhatsApp for the iOS 23.21.72 update. Keep an eye on these changes after installing the update.
