iQOO Neo 7 was launched some time ago, for which we have brought a detailed review. In this review, we will try to understand what major changes have been made in the phone as compared to IQOO Neo 6. Also, does it become a perfect smartphone after these changes. Let us know that iQOO Neo 7 is an upgraded version of iQOO Ne6 launched last year. The phone sports a large display, along with a triple camera setup along with a 120W fast charger.

Design
If we talk about the design, then there is not much change in the phone. In the back of the phone, you will get to see the curved rear panel. The phone comes in a polycarbonate plastic body. But due to the matte finish, fingerprints are not visible when holding the phone. Used the phone without plastic for some time, no scratches could be seen in that phone. But even then, it would be better if the phone is used with a cover, because the camera module of the phone is exposed from the outside, due to which scratches can come on the camera. The phone comes in two color options Forest Blue and Interstellar Black. The phone realizes the premium feel from the rear. The gradient look stands out when the phone is lit up. 3.5mm audio jack is not provided in the phone.

Absolutely flat display display is available in the rear of the phone. Bezels are only nominal in this. The display of the phone is quite large. Its size is about 6.78 inches. Generally I do not like big display. Generally, I reduce phone usage for OTT and gaming. But if you like OTT or gaming on a smartphone, then this can be the best display phone for you. There won’t be much problem in holding the phone during gaming and OTT because it weighs 193 grams. While the thickness is 8.58 inches.

The phone’s display comes with Full HD Plus resolution and 120Hz refresh support. Also HDR10 + and WideVine L1 support has been provided. Due to which the phone gets a great experience of OTT apps like Netflix. Peak brightness of 1300 nits has been given in the phone. Due to which the phone gives a great viewing experience at night as well as during the day.

iQoo Neo 7 5G has a 4nm based MediaTek Dimensity 8200 chipset, which comes with Mali G610 GPU support. Got a very good experience during multi-tasking in the phone. Its AnTuTu score is 8,58,057 points which is better than other smartphones in this category. iQoo Neo 7 5G works on the latest Android 13 based Funtouch OS 13 out-of-the-box. In this you will find many pre-installed apps. No problem was felt in the UI of the phone. The phone has been announced to provide security and Android 14, 15 updates for three years, which is a good move by the company. Meaning you can use the phone for a long time.

gaming
If we talk about gaming performance, then iQOO has not made any compromise in the phone. A very good experience is available while playing games like Call of Duty, Asphalt in the phone. But games like Call of Duty can be played at 90fps only. Gaming features like ultra gaming, motion gesture have been given in the phone. There is no issue of hang or frame drop in the phone during gaming. The vapor chamber cooling system has been given in the phone, which does not allow the phone to get too hot.

Is the phone future ready?
The question arises that it has been announced to give security and software updates to the phone. But despite this, do the connectivity features make it a future ready smartphone, so let us tell you that 8 5G bands have been supported in the phone. Battery & Charger
120W fast charging support has been provided in the phone. With the help of which it gets charged for about 45 minutes in 10 minutes. Whereas 90% charge is done in 25 minutes. The good thing is that with the help of iQOO’s 120W charger, laptops with USB Type C charging can also be charged. The charger’s cable is USB Type c to USB Type C, which is even better. If we talk about power backup, then 5000mAh battery has been given in the phone. It is generally seen that smartphone companies reduce the mAh of the battery by providing fast charging. But iQOO did not reduce the battery size, which is a good move. Also, despite the large battery and display, the weight of the phone was kept less than 200 grams. The phone can be used comfortably for the whole day in a single charge. But on gaming and viewing OTT apps, the battery life decreases to 6 to 7 hours. But it is good that a 120W charger has been provided with the phone, which charges the battery up to 45 percent in 10 minutes. The phone has an in-display fingerprint scanner with these pin locks.

camera
iQoo Neo 7 5G has a 64MP main camera sensor. But the phone has a 2MP macro camera with a 2MP depth sensor. Although you have not been given a wide angle camera setup in the phone. This makes the phone weaker than the rest of the smartphones in this category. Also the 2MP macro camera does not fit in this budget. The optical image stabilization feature has been given in the phone, which gives the freedom to shoot some amazing videos. But still something could have been done better in the camera section. Some good photos can be clicked during the night in the phone. The portrait mode of the same phone helps in clicking great photos. When you capture photos and videos from the phone, you get to see good colors and contrast ratios. The 16MP selfie camera of the phone is good. But apart from beauty mode, the phone clicks good detailed photos and videos in normal and portrait mode. With the rear camera of the phone, you will be able to shoot 4K video at 60fps. While the front camera can record 1080p video at 30fps.

our verdict
A strong 120W fast charging support has been provided in the phone, which impressed me a lot. Also, the performance of the phone has been absolutely fit according to this budget. Apart from this, good quality sound output is available with a large display. Apart from this, with 5G and 3 years of updates, it becomes a future ready smartphone. However, in the case of the camera, the phone looks weaker than the rest of the smartphones in its budget. But despite this, it is a strong phone with a good display, great performance and fast charging coming in 30 thousand rupees.
