iQOO Z7 has been my primary smartphone for the past few weeks. I have done a lot of gaming, multi-tasking and photo and videography in this phone. Design
The Iqoo z7 5G comes in a boxy design. Its front and back and sides are completely flat. While the corners of the phone are in roundette shape. You get dual camera setup in its back. The power button and volume rocker button are provided on the right hand side of the phone. While the single speaker grill with USB Type C port, 3.5mm audio jack is given at the bottom. Also microphone support has been provided. While the SIM tray and noise cancellation feature are available on the top. The pattern of water drop notch display in the front of the phone has become quite old. This seems to be the only drawback in terms of design. Although the budget in which the phone comes, then iQOO should be given relief in this matter.

Its back comes in matte finish. Due to which the color changes on the phone when the light falls. The phone comes in plastic build quality. Despite this, the screen does not come in the back of the phone. The phone comes in Norwegian Blue and Pacific Night color options. I have Norwegian Blue color option available.

If we talk about these hand feel of the phone, then iQOO Z7 5G comes in compact size. In such a situation, there is no problem in holding the phone. The best part is that the phone is extremely light. The weight of the phone is around 173 grams. Also, the thickness of the phone is 7.8mm. In such a situation, you can use the phone comfortably for long calling and gaming. However, the phone slips slightly when held. In this case, it would be better to use the phone with a cover. Using a cover reduces the chances of getting screened on the phone’s camera. The inhand feel of the phone will make you feel like a premium phone.

A 6.3-inch FHD + AMOLED display is available in the phone. Also, the peak brightness of 1300 nits has been given in the phone. Due to which the indoor and outdoor experience of the phone is very good. Phone quite a lot of bride videos and photos are available.

The phone has a refresh rate of 90Hz and a touch sampling rate of 360Hz. Apart from this, HDR10+ support has been provided in the phone, due to which the phone gets great colors while watching videos on OTT platforms like Netflix and YouTube. Also, the Shandara contrast ratio is seen. The phone has an in-display fingerprint sensor with pattern and pin security lock.

Dual camera setup has been given in the phone. It has a 64MP OIS camera. Also a 2MP Bokeh camera has been given. You will not find ultra wide camera in this. Also, the micro camera will not be given. According to me, the company has done well by not forcing 2MP macro and ultra wide camera. The company has worked on a 64MP camera, which comes with optical image stabilization support. In today’s time, the trend of making videos has increased. In such a situation, giving features like OIS and VLOG is a good step. 4K video can be shot at 30fps from the phone. Whereas Full HD video can be recorded at 60fps. At this time most of the videos come in 1080P size. In such a situation, giving FHD support with 60fps is a good step. A lot of detailed photos come out from the camera of the phone. The photo of the phone is not overexposed. Color and depth is very good in this. Some amazing photos can be clicked from the phone. Although it is a budget phone, but the night photography has impressed me a lot. A 16MP camera has been given in the front of the phone. The front camera of the phone struggles a bit. The white part becomes more. Due to this, the colors get faded to some extent. Will be able to record Full HD video at 30fps from the front camera. If we talk about camera performance, then the camera has been made quite compact. The camera of the phone has been cut down to some extent. The iQOO Z7 smartphone has been given the Octa-Core MediaTek Dimensity 920, which is 6nm based. Its Antutu score is around 5 lakhs. The phone has been given 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage support with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage. Also, 8 GB virtual RAM support has been provided in the phone. The phone works on Funtouch 13 based Android 13. Android 14 and 15 updates will be given along with Android 13 in the phone. During the use of the phone, no problem has been faced regarding the user interface. But a lot of pre-installed apps have been given in the phone, which probably was not needed. Although if you want, you can also remove these apps. There is no special problem during multitasking in the phone. But the phone heats up slightly during gaming. Low-graphics games can be played comfortably on the phone. But this phone is not for games with high graphics. Due to the lack of 120Hz refresh rate in the same phone, the phone has faced a lack of smoothness. Overall phone is good during use.

connectivity
You have been given 5G connectivity in the phone. Also, Wi-Fi 6 support is provided with Bluetooth 5.2. Apart from this, 3.5mm audio jack has been given in the phone. But 3.5mm headphones are not provided with the phone. The company has definitely cut down on this matter.

Battery
The phone has a 4500mAh lithium ion battery. You can say that the company has also done cost cutting in terms of battery. But according to me giving 44W fast charging with small battery size is a good decision. According to me, giving 18W fast charging with 6000mAh battery is useless. Because the weight of the phone remains under control with the 4500mAh battery. Also, with fast charging, you can make the phone ready for use again. The phone can be used for about 7 to 8 hours in a single charge. Because of this, I like fast charging phones with small battery size.

iQOO Z7 smartphone is a compact sized phone. If you do not do heavy gaming, then this can prove to be a great smartphone. Because it gets strong performance with great display. Also, fast charging makes the phone stand out from the rest. Good in terms of connectivity too. In the case of the same camera, iQOO Z7 5G is also good. In this way iQOO Z7 becomes a great smartphone.
