Amidst the turmoil regarding ticket in the Lok Sabha elections, on Wednesday, former Tikari MLA Abhay Kushwaha alias Abhay Kumar Sinha has resigned from the post of Gaya JDU District President. Abhay Kushwaha sent the letter regarding his resignation to JDU state headquarters in the name of JDU state president Umesh Kushwaha. Which has been accepted by the party.

Confirming the news of his resignation, former MLA Abhay Kushwaha told Prabhat Khabar over phone that he has resigned from all the posts as well as primary membership of JDU to protect the moral values and socialist ideology. Abhay Kushwaha can contest elections
Abhay Kushwaha is likely to contest elections from Karakat Lok Sabha constituency. Before this, he had been MLA from Tikari assembly seat. Even before becoming MLA, he was the district president of Gaya from JDU. He was considered close to RCP Singh. According to sources, Kushwaha was in touch with RJD for the last few days. In the 2020 assembly elections, JDU had made Abhay Kushwaha a candidate from Belaganj in Gaya district, in which he lost.

Abhay Kushwaha’s resignation will not make any difference to JDU nor will it cause any harm to NDA. These things have been said by JDU’s Metropolitan District President Rajkumar Prasad alias Raju Baranwal in the statement issued. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar trusted him and gave him ticket from Tikari assembly constituency and made him MLA. He was also made the state president of the youth cell of the party. District President was also nominated thrice. Even after this he did not build his confidence within the party.
Jitanram Manjhi can be a candidate from Gaya
In seat sharing, Gaya’s seat has gone to our party. Former Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi will be the Hindustani Awam Morcha candidate from Gaya Lok Sabha constituency. Its official announcement can be made by the party on Thursday. It is being told that Manjhi will file nomination on March 28. Preparations for this have been started by the party. We party has an alliance with NDA. The Lok Sabha seat secured by the alliance has come to our account. Jitanram Manjhi is likely to get the symbol on Thursday.
