Know everything about BharOS, the indigenous mobile operating system that competes with Android

BharOS, commonly referred to as “Bharosa”, is a native mobile operating system. This mobile operating system has been created by the incubator company of the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras). On commercially available off-the-shelf handsets, this software can be installed. Trust, in the opinion of V. Kamakoti, director, IIT Madras, aims to give consumers more freedom, control and flexibility to choose and use programs according to their demands. The native mobile operating system Trust is currently being used to give enterprises the security and privacy services they so desperately need.

Trust operating systems can be installed on commercially available phones. Its hi-tech privacy and security features make this OS unique. As a result of trust, consumers have more options to select and use apps that best suit their needs, and only reputable apps are allowed to access nearby data.

Actually, there are no pre-installed apps with no trust (NDA). This means that users are not forced to use apps they are unfamiliar with, do not consider safe, or cannot trust. Once the smartphone is unboxed, the user will have to download apps from a dedicated app store. Apps will be only those that the user wants to install. This means that free choice is available to the users in terms of downloading the app. There will also be scope to sideload apps. The user will be able to download from sources other than their default app store. This operating system also allows users more control over the programs on their device. Users can also choose which apps they want to allow access to particular device functionalities or data. Simply said, this operating system gives more power to the users.

The Android and iOS platforms have been dominating the mobile operating system (OS) market for some time now.
