The caller told that he was speaking to TRAI, and his phone would be switched off in the next 2 hours. After this the man gave a number to the woman and said that this is the number of the Crime Branch Inspector, talk to him.

After this the woman immediately called the inspector and the person immediately came on the Skype call. He told the woman that first you will not go anywhere, now sit down, you have to be interrogated for a long time.

Then that fake inspector said that your Aadhaar and mobile number have been involved in money laundering. An account has been opened through which money laundering has been done and the woman has received Rs 20 lakh as commission.

According to the police, the woman said that her Aadhaar was not used anywhere. But that fake officer then got this woman to talk to a fake IPS also.

All this was happening during video call. Together, both of them scared the female engineer so much that she could not move from the mobile for more than 8 hours. Because if he did so, he was being threatened with being sent to jail. Ultimately, after taking Rs 11 lakh from the woman in the name of bail and other legal action, the scammers disconnected the phone.

After this the woman suspected whether she had been defrauded. The woman reached the cyber crime police station, where she came to know that cyber thugs had defrauded her and threatened her and emptied her account. However, later the cyber police registered an FIR in the matter.
