New Delhi: The country’s leading automobile manufacturer Mahindra has given a big shock to its customers. It has increased the prices of its flagship SUV Scorpio-N, Mahindra Thar and Mahindra XUV700. The variant-wise increased prices of these three SUVs have been implemented by the company with immediate effect. However, the company had already announced to increase the prices of cars. Its logic behind this is that due to increasing production costs, the prices of cars have to be increased. From today itself, these vehicles have become costlier by Rs 57,000.
Variant wise price of Mahindra XUV700
According to the official website of Mahindra & Mahindra, the company has increased the prices of XUV700 SUV the most. According to the website, the price of AX7L petrol variant with 7-seater configuration and manual gearbox has been increased by Rs 57,000. At the same time, the price of its diesel engine and manual and automatic transmission variants has been increased by Rs 53,000. Interestingly, the prices of eight variants of this recently updated SUV have also seen a reduction.
Price cut of four variants of Mahindra XUV700
The prices of four entry-level variants of petrol have been reduced by up to Rs 15,000. The biggest price cut has been Rs 21,000 for the AX5 diesel variant, offered with automatic gearbox and 5-seat options. Along with this, the ex-showroom price of XUV700 now starts at Rs 13.99 lakh, going up to Rs 26.99 lakh. There has been no change in the prices of seven variants.
Variant wise price of Mahindra Scorpio
At the same time, Mahindra & Mahindra has also increased the prices of other popular SUVs Scorpio-N and Scorpio Classic by Rs 40,000. The prices of all variants of both SUVs have been increased. There has been no change in the price of Z8 7-seater variant of Scorpio-N with AWD and automatic transmission. Its price in ex-showroom is still Rs 23.08 lakh. The biggest increase has been made on the Z8 L 6-seater with manual transmission in both petrol and diesel editions. While the price of the entry-level variant of petrol Scorpio-N has increased by Rs 34,000, the price of the entry-level diesel variant has been increased by Rs 24,000. Scorpio-N SUV will now be available at a starting price of Rs 13.60 lakh in ex-showroom. The price of its top-end variant has become Rs 24.54 lakh.
Variant wise price of Mahindra Thar
Along with this, Mahindra has also increased the prices of all variants of off-road SUV Thar. The price of AX(O) diesel manual variant has been increased the most by Rs 35,000. The price of the top-end petrol variant LX with automatic gearbox increased by Rs 34,000. With the increase in price, the starting price of Thar SUV has now become 11.25 lakh ex-showroom, which will go up to 17.20 lakh.
