Mahindra Scorpio Price Hike: India’s leading automobile manufacturer Mahindra has broken the hearts of Scorpio lovers. The company has increased the prices of top selling popular SUVs Scorpio-N and Scorpio-Classic. With this, now both these models of Scorpio have become costlier by about Rs 40,000 in the ex-showroom of the country. Along with these two SUV models, the price list of other SUV cars has also been released on the company’s official website. Mahindra Scorpio-N Engine

Mahindra Scorpio-N, which comes in 6 and 7 seater layout, has both petrol and diesel engine options. It has a 2.2-litre diesel engine with two power tunings (132 PS per 300 Nm) and 175 PS (370 Nm and 400 Nm). The output of its 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine is 203 PS (370 Nm and 380 Nm). With both engines, it has the choice of 6-speed manual and automatic gearbox. Rear-wheel-drive drivetrain is standard with all powertrains, while 4-wheel-drive option is also available with the diesel engine.

Features of Mahindra Scorpio-N

This SUV car has features like 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, dual zone climate control, cruise control, wireless phone charging and 360 degree camera. Apart from this, its feature list also includes steering mounted controls, sunroof and semi-digital instrument cluster. For the safety of passengers, it has been provided with features like multiple airbags, rear parking camera, hill assist control and electronic stability control (ESC). In the market it competes with Tata Harrier, Tata Safari and Hyundai Creta, Hyundai Alcazar. It also competes with Mahindra XUV700.

Mahindra Scorpio Classic

Mahindra Scorpio Classic SUV car is available in two variants S and S11. This car comes in 7 seater and 9 seater configurations. Mahindra Scorpio Classic comes with five color options, which include Galaxy Grey, Red Rage, DeSat Silver, Pearl White and Napoli Black.

Mahindra Scorpio Classic Engine and Features

Mahindra Scorpio Classic has a 2.2-litre diesel engine, whose power output is 132 PS and 300 Nm. It has a 6-speed manual gearbox with the engine. The feature list of this Mahindra car includes cruise control, auto AC, 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth and Aux connectivity and projector headlights with LED DRLs, while for the safety of the passengers, it has dual front airbags, rear parking sensors. Features like ABS and speed alert have been provided. In the market, it competes with compact SUV cars like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Nissan Kicks, MG Astor, Skoda Kushaq and Volkswagen Taigun.

Mahindra Scorpio-N and Scorpio Classic Price

At the same time, Mahindra & Mahindra has also increased the prices of other popular SUVs Scorpio-N and Scorpio Classic by Rs 40,000. The prices of all variants of both SUVs have been increased. There has been no change in the price of Z8 7-seater variant of Scorpio-N with AWD and automatic transmission. Its price in ex-showroom is still Rs 23.08 lakh. The biggest increase has been made on the Z8 L 6-seater with manual transmission in both petrol and diesel editions. While the price of the entry-level variant of petrol Scorpio-N has increased by Rs 34,000, the price of the entry-level diesel variant has been increased by Rs 24,000. Scorpio-N SUV will now be available at a starting price of Rs 13.60 lakh in ex-showroom. The price of its top-end variant has become Rs 24.54 lakh.
