According to the car sales report for January 2023, there has been a 73 percent jump in the sales of Maruti Suzuki Alto and Alto K10 and on this basis it has become popular like WagonR, Baleno, Swift, Tata Nexon and Hyundai Creta. Leaving vehicles behind, it has become the top selling car.

Maruti Suzuki’s cheap car sold a lot

In January 2023, the sale of Maruti Suzuki Alto was the highest. A total of 21,411 units of Alto and Alto K10 were sold last month, registering a year-on-year growth of 73 percent.

The second best selling car was Maruti Suzuki WagonR, which sold 20,466 units in January last year, registering a year-on-year growth of one percent for the entry-level hatchback. The third best selling car was the Maruti Swift, which sold a total of 16,440 units in January.

Maruti Baleno fourth, Nexon at number five

The premium hatchback Maruti Suzuki Baleno, which has been the top selling car for the last few months, slipped to number four in January 2023. Last month, the Baleno sold a total of 19,108 units, registering a year-on-year growth of 141 percent.

Tata Nexon stood at number five in the best selling cars last month. Tata Motors sold a total of 15,567 units of this compact SUV, registering an annual growth of 13 percent.

7 cars of Maruti Suzuki in top-10

In the list of top-10 best selling cars in India in January 2023, Hyundai Creta stood at number six, with a total of 15,037 units sold and registered an annual growth of 52 percent.

It was followed by Maruti Suzuki Brezza (14,359 units), Tata Punch (12,006 units), Maruti Suzuki Eeco (11,709 units) and Maruti Suzuki Dzire (11,317 units). 7 cars in the list of top-10 cars are from Maruti Suzuki.
