New Delhi : India’s domestic car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki is working rapidly on plans to introduce its most popular car Swift in a new avatar. Maruti’s Japanese subsidiary car manufacturer Suzuki has teased the pictures of Swift next generation before the Tokyo Motor Show. There is a possibility that the concept model of Swift Next Generation can be displayed in the Tokyo Motor Show to be held from October 26 to November 5. In the pictures released by Suzuki, Swift Next Generation is shown with dual-tone exterior of blue and black color. Its design has also been updated. Although the Japanese automaker is officially calling it ‘Swift Concept’, it is also being said that it is ready for production. Swift next generation can be launched in 2024.
What’s new in Maruti Suzuki Swift Next Generation
Swift next generation has an overall familiar design. The design of the current model of Maruti Suzuki Swift is quite curved, while the exterior part of its next generation model has been kept long. It has characteristic lines, which makes its design sporty. Along with this, a major update has also been seen in the bonnet, in which character lines have also been included. Suzuki has also updated the front end with an updated grille design and a silver finish for the front chin. The Suzuki logo present in the front grille of the current Swift is now located above the grille. At the rear of the next generation Swift, Suzuki has updated the bumper with a sportier design. Tail lamps are provided on both its sides. Apart from this, an updated alloy wheel has been designed in the next generation Swift.

The Maruti Suzuki Swift next generation has a dashboard design similar to the Front and Brezza with black and gray color scheme. The new Swift car also features the switchgear found in the Front and Brezza like the 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, toggle switches for the steering wheel and HVAC controls.

Although Suzuki has not given any information about the engine or transmission options offered with the new Swift, it has said that the car will have a high capacity engine, which will strike a balance between driving performance and fuel capacity.

The current model Swift for the Indian market is powered by a 1.2-litre, four-cylinder engine, which generates 90 hp and 113 Nm of torque. It is offered with a 5-speed manual transmission or a 5-speed AMT. The India-spec Swift is also offered with a factory-fitted CNG kit.
Safety Features of Maruti Suzuki Swift Next Generation
On the safety front, Suzuki has revealed that the Maruti Suzuki Swift next generation will have advanced features like dual sensor brake support, collision mitigating braking, an adaptive high beam system and a driver monitoring system.
When will Maruti Suzuki Swift Next Generation be launched in India?
Regarding the launch of Maruti Suzuki Swift Next Generation in India, the automakers have said that we are ready for its official debut at the Tokyo Motor Show. We expect the Maruti Suzuki Swift next generation to be launched in India sometime in 2024. The Swift, which rivals the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios and Tata Tiago, has been a popular choice for customers in India since its launch in 2005.
