National Fire Service Week begins at Tata Steel West Bokaro Division

West Bokaro Division of Tata Steel launched the National Fire Service Week from the General Manager Office premises on Monday. Chief Guest Tata Steel West Bokaro Division General Manager Anurag Dixit started the program by hoisting the flag of National Fire Service Week in the presence of RACOMU President Mahesh Prasad, Secretary PK Singh and senior officials of the company. After this, the fire tender cum awareness vehicle was flagged off. The theme of this year’s National Fire Service Week is “Ensure Fire Safety to Contribute Towards Nation Building”. National Fire Service Week will be celebrated from 14-20 April 2024.

On this occasion, Chief Guest General Manager Mr. Dixit while congratulating the fire fighting team of West Bokaro Division said that the team of West Bokaro plays an important role in controlling the fire incidents anywhere in the nearby areas including Ramgarh, Hazaribagh. He said that the objective of the National Fire Service Week being organized by the security and fire team is not only to sensitize its employees, contract personnel but also to sensitize the community at large. The target of Tata Steel West Bokaro Division has been zero harm and in the summer season we have to keep moving towards this target by being more conscious.

Awareness rally was taken out

On this occasion today, from the Mining Office of West Bokaro Division to Tata Main Hospital, Driver Hut, CB area, Mukundabeda Colony, New Way Bridge, Housing Colony, CMC, DMC, Quarry SEB Mines, Patel Chowk, Bank Mod, Quarry AB and surrounding areas. Awareness rallies were taken out in nearby areas. During the Fire Service Week, mock drills and fire safety training programs will be organized in various schools, departments, training centers of the division including TSF.

This program was organized by the Security Department under the leadership of Security Head Girish Sharma under the supervision of Senior Area Manager Security Anuj Kumar, Mohit Pratap.

On this occasion, CB Chief of Division VB Sudhir Kumar, Chief Quarry Rajesh Patel, Chief Engineering and Projects Mazhar Ali, senior officers and union officials of Tata Steel were present.
